A pledge first. A charge only for verified care.

Animal Radar is operated by Barrett Software, a for-profit company. Conditional pledges and veterinary payments are not live. This proposal is published for advisor, clinic, provider, and legal review before implementation.

An active animal case would not need a financial goal or ending date. A supporter could name a cancelable pledge amount without being charged. Animal Radar would not collect, hold, or treat that amount as funded. An unused pledge would expire after its disclosed validity period without requiring a refund because no payment occurred.

If veterinary care becomes necessary, the organizer would submit a verified clinic, current estimate, goal, and deadline for independent review. Existing pledges would immediately count toward the amount pledged. Only enough approved pledges to meet the reviewed need would be charged, subject to payment success and any required contributor authentication.

A future checkout would show the care amount, Barrett Software's platform fee, total charge, verified clinic, and tax treatment before authorization. The proposed care payment would route to that clinic, never an organizer or other individual. A goal is funded only after payments succeed; a pledge total is not money raised.
